Jacey and her 4 legged baby!
I've said it before and I'll say it again; ever since hitting 20 I've been more than a little obsessed with home decor and all those things that truly make a house a home - think pretty picture frames, comforting candles and colourful coasters.
Right now I'm lusting after the homes of some of my favourite bloggers including Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere (see her home here) and Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior whose home I'm going to take you on a virtual tour of right now!
Feast your eyes folks...
A statement rug is always a good idea!
That fireplace is gorgeous - I love the vintage Louis Vuitton trunk above it!
See, it's the little things that make a house a home!
Fresh, modern but still cozy!
The dark table is super sophisticated while the rug, chairs and lighting add a playful touch.
Love the cotton - it's great to add a touch of history (Jacey grew up on a cotton farm)
Cozy nooks are my favorite.
I need this office!
I love the idea of filling an office with the things that make you smile - great for creatives who are lacking inspiration.
This cheeky Charlie Chaplin cushion is amazing!
3D art work adds interest and true depth
I want a bust like this for my chunky necklaces - practical yet pretty!
Breakfast in bed? Yes please!
And this is why I love white sheets - You can add a pop of yellow on Monday, purple on Tuesday, Red on Wednesday... You get the point!
Yellow, black and white - a winning combination!
As you can see I'm obsessing over Jacey's office. I was a bit of a nerd growing up and my study - where I did my homework - was always my favourite room and so it remains. I simply love the idea of a proper workspace where you can really unleash your creative side and women like Jacey and Emily have shown me how to get the most out of such spaces - simply pack in as many inspiring things as possible! Creativity isn't about being serious 100% of the time. Brilliance often strikes just as your zoning out and smiling at that gorgeous new top, necklace or picture frame!
What do you think of Jacey's home? And what's your favourite room in the home?
xx
