Rihanna For River Island...

Rihanna Rocking An RI Tee...

I realise I'm a tad late off the mark here but I just had to include this lttle tid-bit and of course get my readers opinions on the upcoming collaboration between Rihanna and highstreet giant River Island...!

For quite some time now I've been asking myself why the trend setting "Umbrella" singer hadn't jumped into the business of both fashion and design sooner... Currently one of the greatest style inspirations out there and hell whether shes wearing Tom Ford or Topshop the woman knows how to make one helluva statement and pull it off... I guess given the latest news RiRi was just waiting for the perfect partner as it were... After all, how many times has Miss Rihanna been pictured wearing pieces from RI? Truly, it's refreshing to see a star designing for a brand they both admire and embody for a change...

Commenting on the collaboration Rihanna said;
"I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.’

Meanwhile, Ben Lewis, River Island Chief Executive, stated;
"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Rihanna and to be the first fashion brand to work with her in this way. Rihanna is a style icon, from street to chic she enjoys her fashion. As soon as we started to work together we knew this was a perfect fit. Rihanna will be designing the collection and we will be sharing our fashion experience with her to develop a range her fans will love."

Despite there being no further news on the collection I can tell you two things folks... It's gonna be a sellout and I'm gonna be the very first to feature it...!!
